Mighty Crown: Empire of Gold review

Three reels, five fixed lines, and still a round that can reach 1,500x your bet. We rate the slot on four things it can be held to: round potential, control, pace and the price of entry to the bonus.

Our verdict on Mighty Crown: Empire of Gold

8.4 / 10

Scored on four criteria: round potential (1,500x the bet on a 3x3 grid), control (Volatility Levels™, Chance Level™ and a five-price feature buy), pace (three speeds plus autoplay with stop conditions) and the price of entry to the bonus (from 50x bet). The published 96.13% RTP is the long-run bracket around all four.

Players who want a readable classic grid without giving up a four-figure multiplier, and who like setting the sharpness of a round themselves.

Strengths

  • 1,500x your bet as the ceiling of a single round, which is 90,000.00 FUN at a 60.00 FUN total bet
  • Empire Bonus built on 3 respins that reset with every new game symbol, so the round extends itself rather than ending on a timer
  • Volatility Levels™ and Chance Level™ put the shape of the session in your hands before the spin
  • Five feature-buy prices from 50x to 600x bet, so the shop is a ladder rather than a single take-it-or-leave-it price

Weaknesses

  • The provider rates the game very volatile, so plan a bankroll in bet steps rather than in minutes
  • Entering the bonus through the shop starts at 50x your bet, the cost of fifty base rounds at the same step

What a session feels like

Four stages, and each one has a switch attached.

  1. Settle the bet step

The demo rail moves through 20.00, 40.00, 60.00 and 80.00 FUN up to 5,000.00 FUN, and the rail in the rules starts as low as 1.00. Every multiplier in this review is worth whatever your step makes it worth.
  2. Read five lines at speed

Wins pay leftmost to right on consecutive reels and hits on separate lines are added. Seven regular symbols plus BONUS share three reels, so the grid stays legible even in Ultra Fast Mode.
  3. Chase or buy the Empire Bonus

Three BONUS symbols open the round on the reels; Chance Level™ raises the base bet and the chance of getting there; the shop skips the wait at a price of 50x to 600x your bet.
  4. Bank, or gamble twice

The gamble doubles a win on two symbols for up to 7 rounds, carrying no more than 150 into the next round. On big hits that cap makes banking the obvious move.

Spin at very high volatility

Mighty Crown: Empire of Gold is a Wazdan slot that spends its whole budget on one idea: keep the grid small, put everything else on the control rail. Three reels, five fixed lines, seven regular symbols plus BONUS, and above it a ceiling of 1,500x the bet with 96.13% RTP published behind it. Our score of 8.4 out of 10 comes from the four criteria in the verdict block, and the rest of this page shows the arithmetic each one rests on.

First impression: a classic frame with a modern control panel#

Released on 6 August 2026, the slot opens on an Inca stage: feather headdress, pyramid, chakana cross, golden idol: that Wazdan files under its “Around the World” category and catalogues sort into ancient civilisations and adventure. The visual language is deliberately old-fashioned: 3 reels, 3 rows, five lines that never move, wins paying leftmost to right on consecutive reels, and hits on different lines added together.

The second layer is where the score comes from. Under that grid sit Volatility Levels™, Chance Level™, a bonus shop with five prices, a gamble ladder and three play speeds. The reels are the simple part; the decisions live in the rail beneath them, and every one of those decisions is taken before you press spin rather than resolved for you afterwards.

Two of the switches carry the provider’s own trademarks, Chance Level™ and Volatility Levels™, and they are the two that change the cost of a spin and the shape of a session respectively. Learning them takes one demo round each: set Chance Level™ to x5 and the base bet is multiplied by five for at least six times the chance at the Empire Bonus, with the paytable untouched; set the volatility level to Low and the same published 96.13% arrives through more contact with the 24.00 and 36.00 FUN rows instead of fewer, larger events. The Wazdan page covers the company and its licensing.

That choice pays off on a phone. A 3x3 grid means the symbols are large, the five line diagrams are memorable after two minutes with GAME INFO, and you never lose track of which line paid. It also sets expectations correctly: without cascades, ways-to-win or expanding grids, the size of a round has to come from multipliers, and that is exactly where the bonus round puts it.

One naming note before the numbers. Wazdan also publishes Mighty Crown™: Legacy of Mars, plus the Mighty Wild, Mighty Symbols and Mighty Hot series, so in a lobby search for the full title. The slot hub keeps the complete profile if you want the summary version rather than the verdict.

The maths behind the verdict#

Everything the verdict rests on is published, and each row below changes what a session looks like rather than what a spin resolves to.

MetricValueWhat it means for your session
RTP96.13%The provider’s long-run figure for the game, not a target for an evening
Ceiling1,500x your bet30,000.00 FUN at a 20.00 bet, 90,000.00 at 60.00
Volatilityvery high, provider ratingPlan in bet steps, not in minutes; the quiet stretches are the price of the jumps
Volatility Levels™Low, Standard, High in playYou move the balance between small hits and big ones before the spin
Extra levelsExtreme, Double ExtremeAvailable with the two top feature-buy prices
Bet range0.40 to 5,000.00 FUNThe same mechanics at every step; only the scale changes

96.13% is the figure the provider publishes for this game, and it behaves like every RTP figure: it describes a very long run, not the next hundred rounds. What you actually control sits beside it. Chance Level™ changes your bet and your chance at the bonus while leaving the paytable exactly as it is; the volatility level changes the shape of the distribution you are playing against; the bet step changes what each multiplier is worth in money.

One ratio carries most of the character. The headdress at 1,200.00 FUN against the quipu at 24.00 FUN is a fifty-times spread from the top of the table to its floor, and against the golden idol at 60.00 FUN it is exactly twenty times. A table that steep on a nine-position grid is a design decision, not an accident: it is what lets a 3x3 machine carry a 1,500x ceiling at all, since 1,500x is seventy-five headdress lines at 20x each and the five overlapping patterns can stack several of them in one round.

The lower paytable rows tell you more about rhythm than any single percentage does. At a 60.00 FUN total bet, three quipu pay 24.00 FUN and three llamas 36.00, while three headdresses pay 1,200.00, twenty times the total bet in one line. The small symbols keep a session ticking over; the headdress and the pyramid are what the ceiling is built from. The RTP page runs the same table across every bet step.

Empire Bonus: the part you play for#

The bonus round is the strongest thing in the game, and it earns that by being a ladder rather than a coin flip.

Three BONUS symbols anywhere on the reels start it. One regular symbol already on the grid is picked at random as the game symbol of the round, the BONUS symbols convert into WILD and stand in for it, and you begin with 3 respins. Every new game symbol that lands resets the counter to 3, and all game symbols and WILDs stick to the reels until the end. The round closes when the respins run out or when the grid is completely filled, and a filled grid pays the sum of three WILD multipliers of x1 to x5 each, so 3x to 15x the bet.

The reset is what makes this better than the spec sheet suggests: a round that is going well lengthens itself instead of running down a fixed clock. The random game symbol is the other half. Two bonus rounds at the same bet can look nothing alike, because a grid filling with quipu pays 24.00 FUN a line as it goes while a grid filling with headdresses stacks 1,200.00 FUN lines at the same 60.00 FUN stake, and both can still close on the same multiplier sum.

The honest limit is the spread. Three WILDs at x1 pay 3x, three at x5 pay 15x, five times as much for what looks on screen like the identical result. That is the variance the very high rating is describing, and it is also why the round is worth reaching. At an 80.00 FUN bet, the top of that range is 1,200.00 FUN from the full grid alone, before the line hits collected on the way there. The features page breaks each step down with the paytable beside it.

Price and pace: feature buy, Chance Level™, Ultra Fast Mode#

The shop is where the review gets practical, because a price only means something next to a bet.

Feature buy levelPrice in betsAt 20.00 FUNAt 60.00 FUN
LOW50x1,000.003,000.00
STANDARD100x2,000.006,000.00
HIGH200x4,000.0012,000.00
EXTREME400x8,000.0024,000.00
DOUBLE EXTREME600x12,000.0036,000.00

Read every price as spins and the ladder becomes clear: LOW costs what fifty base rounds cost at the same bet, DOUBLE EXTREME what six hundred cost. The judgement this review makes about the shop is that only the top two levels buy something the game does not otherwise sell. EXTREME and DOUBLE EXTREME are the only path to the Extreme and Double Extreme volatility settings, which is a difference in kind; the three below them buy the same Empire Bonus you can reach with three BONUS symbols for the price of one spin.

Chance Level™ is the softer alternative. The x2 step doubles the base bet for at least twice the chance at the bonus, x5 brings at least six times and x10 at least thirteen times, and the paytable is untouched throughout. If the shop is buying the bonus outright, Chance Level™ is renting a better chance at earning it, and it keeps you in the base game where the line hits still happen.

Pace is handled well, and it is the third thing the score rewards. Normal, fast and ultra fast modes are available, with autoplay carrying stop-on-win, stop-on-bonus and stop-on-balance-change conditions. On a 3x3 grid the top speed is quick enough that those stops are not optional extras but the thing that keeps a session deliberate. The strategy page puts the three switches into a session plan.

Who Mighty Crown: Empire of Gold is for#

The game serves two opposite habits equally well, and the settings are what separate them.

The first wants short sessions with a high ceiling. They play High volatility, keep Chance Level™ on x5 or x10, and accept that a bet step of 20.00 FUN with a 30,000.00 FUN ceiling means most rounds will pass quietly. They are playing for the filled grid with x5 WILDs, and they size the bankroll so a couple of hundred base rounds are affordable at that step. For them the shop is an occasional accelerant rather than a habit: at that step a LOW purchase is 1,000.00 FUN, which is fifty of the rounds they were going to play anyway.

The second wants a long evening on a small budget. They set Low volatility, leave Chance Level™ off, play the bottom of the bet rail, which in the build illustrated by the game rules starts at 1.00, and let the quipu and llama rows carry the session while the Empire Bonus arrives when it arrives. The 1,500x ceiling is still there, it just is not the plan.

There is a third profile worth naming, because the game supports it better than most: the player who treats the shop as the whole session. Buy at STANDARD for 100x the bet, play the bonus, stop. On a 20.00 FUN step that is 2,000.00 FUN a purchase against a 30,000.00 FUN round ceiling, and the arithmetic is honest about what it is: a concentrated bet on one round rather than a stretched evening. Anyone playing that way should count purchases in advance the way the other two count spins, and should use the autoplay stop conditions to make sure the base game between purchases stays short.

Six cards open the game: bonus, chance, five lines, the multiplier, shop, gamble.

What none of the three profiles survives is drifting between them, which is the one piece of advice this review will give: pick the level, pick the step, and let the round run long enough for the setting to mean something. If the comparison helps, the head-to-head with 3 Golden Chests places this grid next to a compact Endorphina alternative, and the demo below lets you test either profile before a deposit.

Review questions

Is Mighty Crown: Empire of Gold good?
It is, for a specific taste: a three-reel grid you can read instantly, with a 1,500x ceiling and three volatility levels to choose from in play. If you want a soft, busy slot with constant small hits, the very high provider rating tells you this is not that.
What is the RTP of Mighty Crown: Empire of Gold?
96.13%, the figure Wazdan publishes for this game. The RTP page turns it into bet-by-bet arithmetic.
How volatile is the slot?
The provider rates it very high, and Volatility Levels™ make that a decision: Low, Standard or High in play, with Extreme and Double Extreme behind the top feature-buy levels.
What is the maximum win?
1,500x your bet in a single round. At a 60.00 FUN total bet that ceiling is 90,000.00, at 20.00 FUN it is 30,000.00.
How often does the Empire Bonus land?
Chance Level™ is the lever you have over that: x2 buys at least twice the chance, x5 at least six times and x10 at least thirteen times, each for a base bet raised by the same step, with the paytable unchanged.
Is the feature buy worth it?
It is a bankroll question rather than a maths trick. Five prices run from 50x to 600x your bet, so the cheapest costs what fifty base rounds cost. The strategy page weighs the ladder against a session plan.
When was Mighty Crown: Empire of Gold released?
6 August 2026, as the second Mighty Crown title Wazdan shipped that year. The series page covers the line.
